- NOFT Scarlet Added 2017-10-26★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Students are paying for the learning and research tools. For example, Carleton U offers free Matlab for EVERY student, while in uOttawa it only exists in engineering and science faculty labs and is not accessible for students from other faculties. You have to pay for it if you want to use it in your cross-disciplinary project. It's 2017 now and you would think a university should understand the importance and the popularity of cross-disciplinary studies.
